  • Outstanding results ……………….. Accelerated recovery………. Great for self-help
  • Effective treatments for hospices, sports injuries, the workplace and your practice
  • Vertical Reflex Therapy is a remarkable reflexology discovery where the dorsal hand or foot reflexes are briefly treated while weight-bearing
  • VRT techniques can be integrated into your practice after a 1 day course
  • Over 5000 reflexologists have attended authorised VRT courses in the UK and internationally. VRT has been presented at many international conferences.
Vertical Reflex Therapy is a remarkable reflexology discovery where the dorsal reflexes are briefly treated in a standing position, enabling access to new and deeper reflexes. VRT complements and enhances all conventional reflexology treatments.

“Vertical Reflexology is great for accelerating recovery from various sports injuries. It has helped me reach my peak, at every level, and I would recommend Lynne’s work to all” Lee Johnson, Professional Championship Footballer 2009

“VRT has been shown to amplify the effects of treatment and to enable the body to balance and heal more quickly”
Nursing and Residential Care Journal July 2005

Day 1

This BASIC VRT Workshop, for qualified reflexologists, will cover the background to the discovery and development of Vertical Reflex Therapy and Synergistic Reflexology (where hand and foot reflexes are worked simultaneously).
There are practical sessions throughout the day where the basic concepts and valuable VRT techniques are learnt. Self-help and Diaphragm Rocking is demonstrated with a comprehensive handout and a dorsal chart. VRT will be discussed in relation to chronic fatigue, asthma, arthritis and stress. A 20 minute Complete VRT/Reflexology treatment will be taught and experienced.
Excellent results are obtained after one day’s tuition and VRT can be immediately integrated into your practice.

After attending the Basic course you are eligible to attend all other VRT courses in any order.

Day 2

This is an ADVANCED VRT Workshop, for reflexologists who have attended a Basic VRT course.

The following techniques will be introduced:
• Neural Pathways are located and worked in conjunction with the Zonal Triggers – this is a very powerful triple reflex technique for use on the feet or hands for all conditions.
• Combined Diaphragm Rocking and Lymphatic Stimulation (Dirkx method).
• Metatarsal Pressure and Plantar Stepping - unique method of combining VRT and the brief working of the plantar. Weight-bearing pressure is exercised by using the ball of the foot at different angles.
• VRT and stimulation of the neural pathways using a Knuckle-Dusting technique. Very profound when treating asthma and respiratory conditions.
• Hand Reflexology in weight-bearing position plus self-help.
• Review and update of basic VRT treatment.
• Specific mini-treatment practice i.e. asthma, irritable bowel etc.
• Palming for lymphatic and respiratory conditions.
• There will be practical and theoretical sessions in equal measures throughout the day.

A 20 minute Complete VRT/Reflexology treatment will be taught and experienced.

What are the benefits to your client of VRT?

VRT’s therapeutic response is often quicker possibly because anatomically all nerves, and therefore the actual reflexes, become sensitised when weight-bearing. VRT can often help intransigent conditions especially muscular/skeletal. Clients can be offered comprehensive 25 minute treatments of classical reflexology and VRT combined.

How does VRT fit into my conventional practice?

Simply reduce your classical treatment to allow time to apply VRT for up to 5 minutes at the beginning and 5 minute at the end of treatments. VRT complements all forms of reflexology and enhances, rather than replaces, your other techniques and skills. As little as 1 - 2 minutes of VRT can be highly effective.

What is VRT Nail-working?

All systems of the body have been mapped out on the nails and can be stimulated by finely working nail-on-nail for 30 seconds. Very powerful results can be achieved by simultaneously connecting nail and dorsal reflexes for certain priority reflexes.

The Tutor for this course will be Karen Newton, one of only two accredited tutors for VRT, who work with Lynne Booth.  Karen has been working with Lynne since the very early days of VRT and will give us the benefit of her great experience.

Accredited courses – 5 CPD points Embody, and 12 CPD points AoR per day.

Please wear suitable casual clothing and bring a towel, foot cream and a small cushion.  You must be able to sit or kneel on the floor to practice VRT.  Please note that deposits are non-returnable
